Elizabeth Rendón-Sherman is the Chief Executive Officer/Chief Financial Officer (CEO/CFO) of LG-TEK.  Mrs. Rendón-Sherman founded and operated LG-TEK in 1997. Mrs. Rendón-Sherman developed a market niche to provide a mix of software development and foreign language support to its customer base.  The company has grown over the past 27+ years to over 150 employees in ten states, with a Global Corporate Office located in Howard County, Maryland. The company supports numerous federal government contracts in the areas of software and system engineering, information technology, language support, training, and cyber security services.  Mrs. Rendón-Sherman has led the company in new business endeavors ensuring for the firm’s success. As a result, LG-TEK continues to flourish in niche markets by aggressively recruiting highly qualified candidates who exemplify the company’s mission.

Mrs. Rendón-Sherman and LG-TEK have been the recipient of numerous awards, to include being named the Daily Record’s Maryland Most Admired CEO in 2022 and the Howard County 2021 Good Scout.   Additionally, LG-TEK has been named as one of the top 50 MD Diversity-Owned Businesses, Hispanic Businesses, MD Small Businesses, and one of the top 500 U.S. Woman-Owned Businesses by DiversityBusiness.com for numerous years.

Mrs. Rendón-Sherman holds a M.S. in Administration from Central Michigan University and a B.S. in Information Systems Management from the University of MD.  She received an Honorary Degree from Howard Community College. Mrs. Rendón-Sherman is a Veteran of the US Army having served from 1979-1983. Mrs. Rendón-Sherman remains active in the community.  She has been a member of the Howard County General Hospital Board of Trustees to include previously serving as Chair, a member of the Johns Hopkins Medicine Board of Trustees, a member of the Howard Bank Advisory Board, and a member of the Fort Meade Alliance Foundation Board of Directors (Founding Member).  Mrs. Rendon-Sherman was previously a member of the MD Department of Commerce Economic Development Commission and Chair of the Rankings & Research Subcommittee. She and her husband are very involved with the Blue Angels Foundation in support of their work to assist Veterans suffering from PTSD, brain injuries, and suicide prevention. She has served on numerous other boards and committees. She has also been a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) for over 30 years.

Larry Evans leads our Contracting Services Departments at Lingual Information System Technologies, Inc., LG-TEK.  As the Vice President of Contracts Mr. Evans reports to the CEO and is responsible for providing strategic contracting leadership.  As the primary contracting officer for LG-TEK, Mr. Evans plans, implements, and directs timely, value-added services that ensure cost-effective achievement of LG-TEK’s goals.  He does so while also ensuring that LG-TEK’s policies, procedures, and practices related to contracting activities are attentive to considerations of appropriate competition and compliance with applicable federal and state requirements.  Previously he served as a Senior Executive Vice President, Director of Purchasing and Contracts and Senior Program Manager on LG-TEK’s largest contract.

Mr. Evans has over 37 years of Naval and Government contracting experience working in the Intelligence community supporting policymakers and senior management in national security and defense arenas.  As a retired U.S. Navy Senior Cryptologist, he has a long history of providing high level technical direction and expertise to critical Department of Defense Information Technology systems.  He served in various leadership and technical management roles on shore, surface, subsurface and airborne platforms.  He served as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR), providing advanced Information Operations (IO) and Information Warfare (IW) systems to the Fleet.  Mr. Evans spearheaded the development and installation of three new-generation, hostile force RF (wired and wireless) network emulators used to train battle groups for deployment and the Global War on Terrorism.  

After the Navy he moved to contract program management within the private industry.  Mr. Evans has expertise providing multi-disciplined intelligence collection, reporting, mission management, all-source research and analysis, and multi-target development of strategic, operational and tactical importance.  He also has extensive experience in program management, decision analysis and support, business management, process planning and improvement, and quality assurance.  Mr. Evans has received multiple accolades and certifications; his formal education was received through Arizona State University and Defense Acquisition University.

Alan Kersey is our Vice President of Engineering at LG-TEK, and has over 30 years of experience designing, developing, integrating, testing, deploying, and supporting SIGINT systems.  Mr. Kersey’s experience was in the development of RF systems for ground fixed sites, mobile platforms, and airborne platforms, and was involved at various times in the tempest testing of systems at both the box level and at the rack level.  As Chief of Airborne Sensors, he had to address Airworthiness Certifications for systems which included items such as EMI/RFI interference testing and thermal and vibration testing.  Mr. Kersey also worked with Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) and CUBIC examining appropriate antennas for use in a new sensor he was developing that was targeted for both SIGINT collection and DF.

Mr. Kersey served as a Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for over 20 years on contracts which were SETA or Engineering Development TTO driven contracts. He served as the Cost Center Manager for the Airborne Sensors Cost Center within the Defense Airborne Reconnaissance Program (DARP) and provided management oversight for the Airborne Ground Support cost center within the DARP.

During his career at NSA, Mr. Kersey was a member of the R6 Technical Advisory Group (TAG), was a NSA consultant to the National Security Council regarding tempested local area networks, a NSA consultant to NASA Goddard Spaceflight Center and the FBI regarding unauthorized computer intrusions, he helped develop a curriculum for the training of system administrators at NSA, and was a member of NSA’s Y2K team.  Mr. Kersey and one of his teams were sought out and asked to serve in an advisory capacity to the Office of Technology Assessment (OTA) regarding a research study for the U.S. Congress.

Mark Sherman is the Vice President of Customer Relations at LG-TEK.  Mr. Sherman has been employed at LG-TEK since 2021, manages three programs and is also a primary instructor for one of the company’s federal government contracts.

Mr. Sherman has been a signals intelligence and cyber professional for over 40 years.  He is a retired US Marine Corps cryptologist whose last assignment was the first senior enlisted at US Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command.  Mr. Sherman is also a retired civilian cryptologist and completed his civilian career as the technical director for intelligence oversight while on assignment to US Cyberspace Command.  Mr. Sherman held many different positions; Team Chief, Branch Chief, Division Chief, Technical Director, Mentor, Skill Community Director and Sr. Collection Manager.  During this time, Mr. Sherman was the recipient of numerous decorations and commendations from both his military and civilian careers.

Mr. Sherman was certified as a Signals intelligence Collection Master through a professional development program.  He also held Adjunct Instructor status at the National Cryptologic School from 1991 until his retirement in 2021.  He was a graduate of the Joint Advanced Cyber Warfare Course.  Mr. Sherman was also one of the first signals collectors to be selected for and completed an early and nascent network analysis program in 1999.   His contributions to the community include support to the Blue Angels Foundation and the Boy Scouts of America.

Alexander Rendon–Rinehart is the Senior Director of Corporate Operations of LG-TEK and serves as the Secretary for the LG-TEK Board of Directors.  Mr. Rendón–Rinehart has been at LG-TEK for the last 16 years, previously having held the positions Sr. Program Manager, Program Manager, Language Training Manager, and Language Training Coordinator.  Mr. Rendon–Rinehart was responsible for leading and maintaining the implementation of the American Council for Education (ACE) accreditation for over 12 language courses.  He has been responsible for leading various Security related programs at multiple Federal Agencies for over 10 years.  Mr. Rendón–Rinehart holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Delaware and an MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus.  Mr. Rendón–Rinehart has a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
